Environmental Protection Agency Extends No Action Assurance
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revised and extended a No Action Assurance establishing that the EPA will not pursue enforcement of violations of the prohibitions at 40 C.F.R. Part 82 in 2013. This regulation prohibits the production and importation of HCFC-22 and HCFC-142b, without allowances allocated by the EPA. The lowest amount of allowances a company would receive under any of the proposed options are presented in a
letter
from Cynthia Giles, EPA Assistant Administrator.
